December 6, 2018 is the date to mark on your calendar. That is the date that the 2018 inductees to the Kansas Film & FV Hall of Fame will be announced!

On November 1, 2018, the 20 members of the First Class of the Russell County Hall of Fame were revealed.  They were unveiled in a story in the Lucas-Sylvan News the day before.

​On September 20, 2018 the non-profit The Blue Hills Heritage Foundation was formed in the city of Lucas, "The Grassroots Art Capital of Kansas."
